The tech and Internet tradable funds led their peers Tuesday while money rotated out of defensive stocks, lowering the pharmaceutical and consumer staples exchange-traded funds.
The B2B Internet HOLDR (BHH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) rose 8.6%, the day's sharpest gain among the exchange-traded funds. The Internet Architecture HOLDR (IAH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) picked up 6.5%, the Internet Infrastructure HOLDR (IIH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) 5.5%, the Semiconductor HOLDR (SMH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) 5.5%, the Internet HOLDR (HHH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) 5.3%, the Dow Jones Technology iShares (IYW | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) 4.6%, the Technology SPDR (XLK | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) 4.3%, the Nasdaq 100 Tracking Stock (QQQ | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) 4.1%.




The Software HOLDR (SWH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) was the odd man out among the tech-focused ETFs. It lost 2.8%. The Dow Jones Healthcare iShares (IYH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) gave up 2.2%, the Pharmaceutical HOLDR (PPH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) 2.2%, the Consumer Staples SPDR (XLP | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), the Dow Jones Consumer Non-Cyclical iShares (IYK | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) 1.7%.
