Here are 7 stocks for traders for Thursday from TradingMarkets.com:

  • The Pentagon has announced that it will be unable to award a $35 billion dollar tanker contract before January. Both Boeing (BA | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and Northrop Grumman (NOC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) are competing for the contract initially awarded to Northrop Grumman.

  • A narrowed range for revenues and earnings did not affect the in-line guidance provided by Texas Instruments (TXN | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), which encouraged traders to bid shares of the stock higher at the open, though the stock closed lower on the day.

  • Shares of Lehman Brothers Holdings (LEH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) fell on Wednesday by another near 7%, making its year-to-date decline just shy of 90%.

  • Campbell Soup {CPB|CPB] reports earnings Thursday morning before the market opens. Analysts are expecting EPS of $0.25.

  • ImClone Systems (IMCL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) rejected a bid from Bristol Meyers Squibb (BMY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), saying the company was worth more and that a potential bidder that remained unnamed was willing to pay $70 per share compared to Bristol Meyers $60 per share.
